Tatiana Ryckman: It Should be Literal

This all feels very literal.

I am
wearing bright colors.
You are
moving around in a plastic-y coat.
A material to break the wind.
I am
laughing at your coat
breaking wind.
You are
not hearing me.

It feels like …

You are
killing yourself
at me every time
I am
starting another email
I cant send.
You are
maybe re-reading the old ones?
I am
telling myself you are
re-reading the old ones.

But what might actually be happening is that

I am
seeing you walk in a city
from where I sit on a grassy knoll.
You are
laughing comfortably
with close friends and
I am
not one of them.
