Amanda Craven writes “Golden is actually eight images taken at differing exposure times and condensed into a single image, or an HDR (high dynamic range) photo. This particular image is a macro shot of an old water bottle that has been sitting in my car. I used a reversed 50mm prime lens and my light source was a single house light. The only digital alteration was in merging the files into a single file.

“The inspiration behind my photography comes from my ability to see every day things in a new light. I also enjoy taking photographs in new innovative ways like using a lens backwards to produce a macro image or constructing HDR photos.”
